 March 1, 2005 - Evansville, IN - Richard Johnson just recently of the Omaha Beef has signed on to play for the Bluecats.
Ive coached against Richard before and he was a player that gave our line trouble, says coach Guidry. Richard, a.k.a. Big Sexy has played 4 years with the Omaha Beef and one with the Wichita Stealth (AF2) accumulating 41 sacks. With over 261 career tackles, 92.5 being for a loss, hes just what the Bluecats need.
The 64, 270 lb defensive lineman attended Wayne State University. Hes big, strong, and fast, proven by benching 225 lbs 31 times and running a forty yard dash at 4.79 seconds. In the year 2000 and 2001, Richard was named All-IPFL Defensive End. Richard will not be the lone pick to help improve the defense for the Bluecats, assured by Coach Kerwin.
The season opener versus Tennessee Valley is Saturday, March 19 at Roberts Stadium. Be sure to call (812) 437-CATS for season tickets.
