« Back

December 13, 2004 - Wheeling, WV- The Ohio Valley Greyhounds have announced the resignation of Mark Bonar as head coach, leaving after three years at the helm of the football squad.

Bonar resigns from the Hounds with a 44-5 overall record, including three division titles, two conference titles, and two national championships to his credit. Mark’s accolades include leading the Hounds to 26 consecutive wins in a row spanning from 2002 until 2004, as well as 34 straight victories at home for a 34-2 career record at WesBanco Arena.

“The thing that I will miss more than his success as a football coach is his integrity”, said Greyhounds Executive George Kellas. “His integrity is immaculate. Filling his shoes will be one of the toughest tasks I will have faced to this date.”

The entire Greyhounds organization wishes Mark Bonar and his family the very best in their future endeavors.
