 February 7, 2005 - Tupelo, MS-The Tupelo FireAnts 2005 United Indoor Football home opener will move from Friday, March 18 to Saturday, March 19 as the Ants gear up for the Lexington Horsemen at the BancorpSouth Center.
The move was made at the request of the BancorpSouth Center in order to accommodate ample time for building conversion from concert setup to football upon the recent announcement of the Kenny Chesney concert scheduled for Thursday, March 17.
In addition, all FireAnts home games at the BancorpSouth Center will kick off at 7:30pm this season. In the past, games started at 7:05pm.
With the majority of home dates falling on Friday nights, we wanted to push back the start time in order to make it easier for everyone to get home from work and relax for a little bit with their families before coming to the games, Team Spokesman Juliana Nykolaiszyn said.
This season will mark the fifth anniversary of FireAnts Football at the BancorpSouth Center. Season tickets are currently on sale for all seven home games, with prices starting as low as $70 for adults and $35 for children 12 and under / seniors 60 and older.
