 December 27, 2004 - The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) was recently honored by the South Dakota Sportswriters Association as South Dakotas Top Independent Team in a state-wide vote amongst sports editors of daily newspapers.
The Storm finished last season 13-4 overall and hosted the league championship game in August. Over the past three seasons, the Storm is 20-1 at home in the Sioux Falls Arena. Honors were also given at the high school and college level, for the athlete, team, and coach of the year and male and female independent athlete of the year.
