April 8, 2005 - Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) is pleased to announce that the home opener is here! Saturday, April 9th will feature a tailgate party at Buffalo Wild Wings, located just to the South of the Sioux Falls Arena on West Ave., from 3 – 6pm. The afternoon will feature live music from Jamie and The Wonderboys, the Storm Ball Babes and Lightning Girls, bean bag tournament, face painting for the kids, food and drink specials, Storm merchandise, and will wrap up around 6 pm with everyone heading over to the Arena for game time.

The much awaited “Championship Rematch” is finally here. The Storm will take on the Lexington Horsemen on April 9th with a 7:05 pm kick-off in the Sioux Falls Arena. The Storm is currently 1-1 with having a bye week in week three. The Horsemen stand 2-1 after a tough loss taken last week to the Evansville Bluecats, 52-57. The game sponsor for the night will be First Premier Bank and Premier Bankcard, with the non-profit sponsor being the American Lung Association.

The game will also feature the retirement of Donnie Hilsenroth and Bobby Perkins jerseys. Perkins was involved in a horrific car accident this past winter and is still in rehabilitation. In order to help him and his family endure the medical costs, the Storm will be selling “Bobby Bands” for $5.00 with all proceeds going to Perkins. Also, Storm Thunder Stix will be given away at the front door to the first 2,000 fans.

Individual tickets for Storm home games are also on sale now at the Arena box office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or any Ticketmaster location.
