Rislov Called Up By Nashville Kats

April 4, 2005 - Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) is pleased to announce that Storm quarterback, Scott Rislov, has recently been signed to the Nashville Kats of the Arena Football League (AFL). Rislov was signed by the Storm back in February and was on the twenty-five man roster for the first two games, competing with Terrance Bryant for the starting quarterback position.

Rislov (6-1, 219) was one of the nation’s most accurate passers as quarterback at San Jose State, where he became the only player in school history to throw for 3,000 yards in consecutive seasons. He started 24 consecutive games for the Spartans in his two-years at SJSU and threw for twice as many touchdowns (40) as interceptions (19). Rislov was the MVP of the 2003 Blue-Gray All-Star Classic, and he became the first player at San Jose State in a generation to hold a 4.0 grade point average for three consecutive semesters. He was in camp with the Cincinnati Bengals last season before being released, signed on with the Storm for the first two games of the regular schedule, and now will be placed on Nashville’s four-man practice squad. The Kats are currently 2-7 and third in the Central Conference. The team rallied from 13 points down at the half this past weekend against the Grand Rapids Rampage and pulled off the victory 40-27, ending a franchise-worst seven-game losing streak.

The much awaited “Championship Rematch” is quickly approaching with the Storm taking on the Lexington Horsemen on Saturday April 9, with a 7:05 kickoff at the Sioux Falls Arena. The Storm is 1-1 on this short season and is coming off a bye weekend.

Individual tickets for Storm home games are also on sale now at the Arena box office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or any Ticketmaster location.
