April 26, 2006 - Wheeling, WV- The Ohio Valley Greyhounds of United Indoor Football (UIF) will look to give the Sioux Falls Storm their first loss of the season this Saturday at Wesbanco Arena. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST. The Greyhounds are riding high after winning two games in a row and scoring at least 60 points in each game.
In last weeks 67-29 victory over Bloomington, quarterback Matthew Kohn tied a UIF record with 7 touchdown passes. In the previous week versus Peoria Kohn set a UIF record for most passing yards in a game by throwing for an amazing 314 yards. Kohn is leading the UIF in passing yards with 1010.
Also on the offensive side of the ball, James Taylor continues to lead the UIF in pass receptions with 42 and he is fourth in the UIF with 8 touchdowns. Ohio Valley is scoring the third most points in the UIF with 43.3 points per game.
Defensive back Corvin Amos recorded 5.5 tackles and 2 interceptions in last week’s victory. Linebacker Brock Dodrill had 8.5 tackles last week to bring his league-leading total to 41 on the season.
Sioux Falls improved to 5-0 on the season with a 47-44 overtime victory over the Fort Wayne Freedom last Saturday. Sioux Falls came back from a 13-point halftime deficit to win the game. The Storm defense held the Freedom to 0 points in the third quarter. James Terry finished the game with 71 yards receiving including a 33-yard touchdown reception with 32 seconds left in regulation. The Storm offense in averaging 44 points per game which is second best in the UIF. The balanced Storm attack has had a league leading 11 different players score a touchdown this season
