Bloomington team grows

Bloomington, IL (January 29, 2009) – The Bloomington Extreme are happy to announce three more players added to the team for the 2009 season.

WR Henry Smith, CB Dorsey Golston III and RB Lamar Lewis have all been added to the Bloomington Extreme’s 2009 roster.

WR Henry Smith (5’10”, 175) played college football for McNeese State. Smith is an all purpose player who can play both wide receiver and running back. At McNeese State Smith was an outstanding kickoff returner and had a 31 yard average.

CB Dorsey Golston III (6’1”, 195) played college football for the University of Wyoming. While at the University of Wyoming Golston had six interceptions and 92 tackles. He started in 12 games at Free Safety in 2006. Golston was named All Conference Honorable Mention in 2006. In April 2007 Golston attended a workout with the Kansas City Chiefs. He has had two years of previous indoor football experience playing for the Colorado Ice.

“Golston brings great indoor experience to the team,” Head Coach Kenton Carr said. “He will be competing for a starting role.”

RB Lamar Lewis (5’8”, 200) played college football for Florida State and Georgia Southern. His sophomore year at Florida State Lewis carried the ball nine times on the season for 50 yards and one touchdown. His second career touchdown was against Syracuse, where he also returned three kickoffs and averaging 19.7 yards per each return. While playing for Georgia Southern Lewis had 955 rushing yards and five touchdowns. He had 115 rushing yards against Colorado State and 204 yards against Coastal Carolina.

“Lewis is quick, short and stocky, which is perfect for this league,” Coach Carr said.
