ABILENE, TX. : Saturday, January 24, 2009 is the day and the Lucky Mule Saloon is the location for the 2009 Abilene Ruff Riders Dance Team Auditions. Free food will be provided at 1:00 p.m. with the auditions to begin at 2:00 p.m. The Lucky Mule Saloon is located at 1850 South Clack Street in Abilene. As a reminder to all those that are interested in being a part of the auditions, participants must be 18 years of age or older. Participants must also pay a fee of $25 in order to enter the auditions.
Teri Wilkerson of Dance Discovery Studios will be the Ruff Riders Dance Team Choreographer. Dance Discovery Studios has already begun having rehearsal sessions for the auditions since Saturday, January 17, 2009.
“We have had good rehearsals and meetings over the past several days. I’m confident that we will establish a Ruff Riders Dance Team that is both experienced and exciting to watch. We will be judging participants by several different categories, and after this weekend I believe that we will have a great dance team that will not only support the Ruff Riders on the field, but in the Abilene community.” stated Abilene Ruff Riders Dance Team Choreographer, Teri Wilkerson.
There is still time for interested dancers to sign up for the auditions. More information regarding the auditions can be found by contacting the Ruff Riders front office at (325) 677-PASS (7277). Dancers may also visit Dance Discovery Studios located at 3347 South 2nd Street to receive registration forms. Participants can also call Dance Discovery Studios at (325) 677-0022 for further details. The Ruff Riders welcome friends, family members, and media representatives to attend the auditions.
