January 8, 2009 - The Omaha Beef and Iowa Blackhawks will be hosting an open tryout Saturday, January 24th and Sunday, January 25th at the Mid-America Center. The Mid-America Center is located at One Arena Way in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
On both days, player registration will be from noon-1pm with tryouts taking place from 1pm-4pm. Individuals can register the day of tryouts for $60. Pre-registration is $50 and can be done through www.beeffootball.com. Just download the registration form and mail check or credit card info to:

All players involved will participate in various non-contact speed, agility, and strength drills. First day (1/24) drills will include 10 & 20 yard dash, shuttle run, vertical jump, and strength . The second day (1/25) will include 1-on-1 and 3-on-3 drills. No kickers will be needed this day.
Tryouts will be held indoors on turf, so only turf or running shoes should be worn. Please, no cleats. Appropriate attire for non-contact drills includes t-shirts, shorts, etc.
