Today was a great day. We got the morning off of practice so we got up around 7:30 am for breakfast, sat in some meetings, got a short lifting session in, and then were back off to bed to catch up on a little sleep. This afternoons practice was pretty intense, we did a short individual period, a little inside drill, and then we split up and did a full scrimmage. The only thing we weren’t allowed to do was cut on the offensive line.
There was some good hitting and a lot of enthusiasm. Getting the chance to see the offense and defense moving in practically full speed was fun. There is definitely going to be some fireworks on both sides of the ball. It’s crazy to believe that a week from today I will be in Japan getting ready to represent the Unites States of America in a sport that we invented with 45 other guys who love the game and are as competitive as I am. It’s getting close.
