Omaha, NE -United Bowl II will showcase two of the premier quarterbacks in UIF history. The seasoned veteran and MVP Terrance Bryant of the Sioux Falls Storm will face 1st Team All-UIF QB, Eddie Eviston of the Lexington Horsemen. Both star quarterbacks finished the season with strong performances and led their respective teams to the top two records this season.
Terrance Bryant started where he left off last year for the Sioux Falls Storm. Coming in as a returning starter gave Terrance a go ahead green light to be a team leader and provide consistency and poise for their lightning strike offense. Bryant stayed consistent all season long and would tie Eviston’s single game touchdown record in Week 14 of the season with 7 touchdown passes. Bryant finished the season with an impressive 61.6 percent pass completion. This enabled Terrance to average 154 passing yards per game, 54 touchdowns and 2463 passing yards during 2006. His 104.9 pass efficiency rating ranks him second behind his UBII opponent, Eddie Eviston. Terrance would complete his season being named the UIF’s Most Valuable Player after he led the team to an undefeated 15-0 regular season. Since last season’s playoffs, Terrance has won 19 straight games. He was also named to the second team of the UIF All-Star Roster.
Eddie Eviston made his UIF quarterback debut this season for the Lexington Horsemen after having previous experience with the Kansas City Chiefs (NFL) and the Amsterdam Admirals (NFL – Europe). Eviston started the first five games of the season averaging 193 yards passing and had a pass completion of 73%, with a total of 19 touchdowns. He would go on to break multiple UIF Season Records throughout year. Eddie currently holds the season pass completion record at 65.4%. He also holds the season record for most touchdown passes in a regular season with 59. These two records painted the picture for Eddie to hold the passing efficiency record for the UIF at 108.6 (after thehis playoff game he now has a rating of 113.7). With these astonishing performances Eviston has totaled 2600 total passing yards and an average of 173 yards per game. In his first UIF playoff game Eddie threw for 140 yards and four touchdowns from 16 of 25 pass attempts en route to victory over the Rock River Raptors. Eddie would complete his season being named the number one quarterback of the UIF All-Star Team.
