August 12, 2005 - Omaha, NE - United Indoor Football is proud to announce the first ever United Bowl Championship game is officially SOLD OUT! Over 7,000 lucky fans have purchased tickets to watch the second-seeded Sioux City Bandits host the fifth-seeded Sioux Falls Storm in UB1 on Sunday, August 14, in the Tyson Events Center. It is sure to be a raucous crowd with fans of both teams showing up in full force.

The only way to now view the game live will be via the internet and B2 Networks. The league has posted a “LIVE” B2 button on the front of the UIF website. Fans interested can click on the icon and go to B2 Networks live broadcast of the United Bowl on Sunday, August 14th. Fans can also chose which broadcast team they would like to listen to, Sioux City’s Curtis Anderson or Sioux Falls’ Rich Roste, both indoor football veterans and true professionals. Broadcasting begins at 2:55pm CST with the Championship game starting at 3:00pm CST. For only $6 fans can view the game live on Sunday.

United Bowl 1 pits two of the biggest rivals in the league against each other. The I-29 foes have beat the best of the best to make it into UB1. The Storm defeated the Lexington Horsemen 62-58 on the road in the semi-finals last Saturday to advance to the title contest. Meanwhile, the Bandits turned back the visiting Tennessee Valley Raptors 42-37 in the other semi-final to advance to the UIF's inaugural championship game.

This will be the forth time the two North Division and Interstate 29 rivals will meet this year, and the Bandits have come out on top in the three previous match-ups this season. Sioux City won 50-43 in Sioux Falls on April 16, 38-34 in a return trip on June 25, and 54-48 in Sioux City on July 15. All three contests were competitive and were not decided until the final seconds. The forth meeting should provide much of the same spectacular play and a record-setting attendance mark is likely. Sioux City leads the all-time series 8-5 dating back to 2000. Sioux City has out-scored Sioux Falls 477-467 in 13 meetings since 2000. Sunday is sure to mark another great chapter in this bitter rivalry and mark the culmination of an amazing first season in the UIF.

Fans who are unable to attend United Bowl 1 can log-on to unitedindoorfootball.com for a live webcast. Kick-off is at 3:05 p.m. CST in the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena. For complete scores, statistics, highlights and more, log-on to unitedindoorfootball.com.
