UIF Inaugural Season Continues

April 1, 2005 - Omaha, NE - The inaugural season of United Indoor Football moves into Week 3 with two games scheduled for Friday, April 1. In Sioux City, IA, the Bandits will host the Tennessee Valley Raptors in a 7:05 p.m. CT kick-off in the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena. Sioux City is 1-0 and Tennessee Valley is 0-1 on the season. The Bandits overpowered the Black Hills Red Dogs 57-29 in their home opener in Week 1 on March 26, while the Raptors dropped a 53-51 decision to the Lexington Horsemen.

Also on Friday, April 1, the Tupelo FireAnts will entertain the Ohio Valley Greyhounds. Kick-off will be at 7:30 c.t. ET in the BancorpSouth Center in Tupelo, MS. Both the Fireants and Greyhounds will be looking for their first victory of the season after dropping two straight.

Week 3 continues on Saturday, April 2, as the Evansville Bluecats will host the Lexington Horseman. The Horsemen, 2-0 on the season, escaped with a 63-62 victory over border rival Ohio Valley in the home opener in Rupp Arena on Saturday, March 26. Lexington quarterback Dusty Bonner threw six touchdown passes for 196 yards, with three of those passes going to wide receiver Eric Magrini. The Bluecats are 1-0 on the season as quarterback Ramon Robinson connected with wide receiver Gerald Clark on an 11-yard, last second touchdown pass to stun the Tennessee Valley Raptors 53-51 on March 26 in Evansville.
