August 9, 2007 - Omaha, NE - Thanks to a partnership through Multi-Ad, InfinityProSports and BM Publishing, there will be All-Star Trading Cards given out at the Casey’s All-Star Classic.
The cards will be in strips of five, with the first being given out to the first 200 people at the FanFest, which will be held Friday evening, August 17, beginning at 6 p.m. The first 2,000 fans through the turnstiles at the Saturday, August 18th, game will each receive a commemorative strip. Fans are encouraged to purchase the other strips, which will be available at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum gift shop during the game.
Joe Dalfonso, Territory Manager/Sports Consultant for the Peoria, Illinois-based Multi-Ad, hopes that UIF fans will enjoy the cards. “We are extremely happy to be partnering with the UIF on this project,” Dalfonso said. “I think fans will savor these for years to come.”
The 30-card set will feature at least one player from every team in the UIF. In addition to having various All-Stars represented, there will be special cards for the Dance Team, Man and Mascot of the Year.
InfinityProSports, the official web provider of the UIF, will be sponsoring the first card of each strip. Uri Geva, CEO, of the College Station, Texas-based company, said they are thrilled to be involved with the All-Star Classic. “As long time partners of the UIF and of all sports teams in Bloomington (The Extreme, Prairie Thunder) and the official provider of U.S. Cellular Coliseum web site, we are excited about the opportunity to be a part of the UIF All-Star Classic.” Geva said.
BM Publishing, who is known for publishing “The Official Indoor and Arena Football Trading Card Guide”, will sponsor the checklist card. Each checklist will have each strip featured. This will help fans figure out what strip they have and which ones they’ll need to complete the set. Bob Garcia of the Bristol, Connecticut-based company said he hopes the partnership would bring exposure to UIF fans and introduce them to collecting indoor football cards.
A special feature of a few of the cards will be Ref’s Random References. This is an extension of UIF Communication Assistant Brad Green’s featured segment on the UIF’s weekly web cast, “This Week in the UIF.”
Green, who has been working diligently with Multi-Ad to get the cards produced, looks forward to seeing the finished product. “Being a card collector myself, it has been a dream come true to work on these cards with Multi-Ad,” Green said. “I can’t wait to see all our hard work come together.”
United Indoor Football is the premier indoor football league of North America and is committed to serving its teams and fans. Please contact the UIF league office with any comments, concerns or suggestions. |
